This vibrant beaded tulip embroidery was crafted for an upcycled knit pant project, merging hand embellishment with meaningful symbolism. Using a combination of backstitch and chain stitch techniques, I intricately embroidered with glass beads, bullion thread, and embroidery floss to create richly textured tulip petals. Embedded within the blooms are sacred Jewish symbols—the Chai and the Magen David—subtly woven into the orange and blue tulips, blending tradition with contemporary textile art. The leaves are rendered in lush faux feathers and yarn looping, adding a tactile, sculptural element to the piece. Each component was intentionally layered to honor heritage, texture, and sustainable design.
